Girls
Preparatory – Primary
- Black sleeveless leotard (vest style top)
- Short black circular skirt
- White ballet ankle socks
- Pink satin ballet shoes with pink elastic
- White wrap-over cardigan (optional)
- Hair tidy and tied back securely, white cotton headband if necessary (bun for exams)
NB. Socks/tights and shoes may be appropriate to the pupils skin tone
Grade 1 and above
- Black sleeveless vest style leotard
- Narrow black elastic belt
- Pink seamless ballet tights
- Pink satin ballet shoes with pink elastic (pink canvas / split soles from Gr 4 upwards if preferred)
- Pink satin pointe shoes with pink ribbons (if attending pointe class)
- Hair tidy and tied back securely (bun required for exams)
NB. Socks/tights and shoes may be appropriate to the pupils skin tone
Boys
- Black Lycra shorts with white vest/leotard or all-in-one, white socks and and black ballet shoes with elastic
This is the uniform required for classes and exams.The correct dress encourages correct posture and care in the classical work. It also allows the teacher and examiner to see more easily that the correct technique is being used.
No jewellery may be worn – this is for safety in class . If earrings cannot be removed they must be covered with tape.

Grades 1 – 3

- Grade 3 – Tan Lyrca tights
- White tap shoes, low heel with heel taps and laces

Grades 4-5
- Green ruched-front thick strap tank leotard
- Tan Lycra tights

Grade 6 onwards
- Navy ruched-front thick strap tank leotard
- Tan Lycra tights
- White tap shoes with heel taps and laces
- Silver with Cuban heel from Intermediate may be worn with silver ribbon

TAP – Male Dress Code
- White shirt, Black bow tie, Black trousers, Black socks, Black shoes with heel taps, Black laces
TAP – Adult Dress Code
All Grades – Uniform as above or Black leotard with white t-shirt/sweatshirt, tan tights or jazz pants
The use of Teletone© taps and Cuban heels is NOT recommended for younger students below Grade 6.

Girls
- Bare feet (foot thongs/dance paws optional)
- Hair in a tidy style – bun or French plait
- Own choice of dancewear in any colour e.g.:
- Leotard and footless tights
- Catsuit
- Leotard and lycra shorts
- Crop top (mid length) and tights or shorts
- Foil and hologram lycra may be worn but dance wear should have no additional trim, embellishments or sequins
- If you are unsure if your outfit is suitable please ask in advance of the examination day
